Description
Sythara is an ancient and powerful being—a massive serpent with the upper body of an elven woman, scales of deep jade green, and eyes like molten gold. Her voice echoes from everywhere at once, cold and sibilant, and her presence fills any space with an oppressive weight.
She calls herself the Coiled Oracle, and claims dominion over the temple beneath Southaven.
Story
The party first glimpsed Sythara’s influence at Aramond’s Lookout, where a serpent-creature fled battle after poisoning Talan Windfern with venom that resisted all healing magic. Velara Kael wrestled it to the ground while the party stabilized Talan, but the creature escaped.
They encountered Sythara directly in the tunnels beneath Southaven. After descending through a hidden serpent door, they found themselves in an ancient temple predating human settlement. Sythara emerged from the darkness—massive, ancient, and terrifying—and bound them with a vow of silence about all they had witnessed. In exchange, she would guide them to the Order of the Black Star’s ritual chamber and aid in stopping the corruption spreading beneath the town.
The party now carries her secrets, bound by magic they cannot break.
