Description

Sylara Everflame is a wood elf woman with long, silvery hair often adorned with wildflowers and braided with colorful threads. Her eyes are a soft green, and her skin has the warm tan of someone who spends most of her time outdoors. She wears flowing, loose-fitting garments in natural colors—often hand-dyed with plants from her garden. Beaded necklaces and woven bracelets jangle softly when she moves.

Personality

Sylara is warm, nurturing, and quietly emotional. She feels things deeply and expresses affection freely—through touch, through food, through small handmade gifts. She believes in the interconnectedness of all living things and often speaks of the “great web” that binds everything together.

She has a tendency to worry, especially about her daughter Ferinthria, but she has learned to trust in the universe’s plan—even when that plan takes her child far away into danger.

Background

Sylara grew up in Balandel, where she trained briefly as a healer before growing disillusioned with the formality and hierarchy of the temples. She longed for something more authentic, more connected to the earth.

When she met Thandril, she knew immediately that they were meant to walk the same path. They left Balandel together and eventually found their home in a small commune in the forests outside Fadrín—a community of elves and others who had chosen to live simply, close to the land.

Sylara tends the commune’s herb garden and serves as an informal healer for the community. She makes salves, tinctures, and teas from the plants she grows, and she has a gift for soothing both physical and emotional wounds.

When Ferinthria was born with pink hair and magic Sylara couldn’t explain, she was confused but never anything less than loving. She couldn’t teach her daughter to control the wild energy, but she taught her to breathe, to feel, and to trust herself. When Ferinthria left for Southaven, Sylara wept quietly while packing food for the journey—but she understood. Some birds are meant to fly far from the nest.

She keeps a small portrait of Ferinthria in the cottage and thinks of her every day.
