His most distinctive feature is his hands—massive, calloused, and marked with knuckles that have been broken and reset so many times they’re permanently swollen. He keeps his dark hair cropped short and sports a patchy beard that fails to hide the jagged scar running down his left cheek.

Knuckles is gruff and pragmatic, with the kind of world-weary attitude that comes from too many years in The Pit. He’s not cruel, but he’s lost any illusions about honor or justice—survival is what matters. He speaks in short, blunt sentences and has a dark sense of humor about his own situation. Despite his rough exterior, he has a practical wisdom about how the underground works and doesn’t mind sharing it with fellow prisoners.
Background
Marcus earned his nickname the hard way—as a bare-knuckle fighter in The Pit who won more fights through sheer toughness than skill. He was never a champion, but he was reliable entertainment and knew how to take a punch. His downfall came when he tried to rig a fight by slipping a sleeping draught into an opponent’s drink. Cassira discovered the scheme immediately—nothing happens in The Pit without her knowledge—and had him thrown into the holding cell in The Golden Grain.
The party encountered Knuckles in Session 33 - The Iron Lady’s Game when they were imprisoned alongside him in the torture room on the second floor of The Golden Grain.
