The Guild of the Wandering Flame is a loose network of magical culinary artisans (chefs, brewers, bakers, alchemists, and mixologists) who believe that food is not only sustenance, but sorcery, symbol, and social weapon. Members call themselves Flamebinders, though outsiders tend to use less flattering terms (e.g. sauce-wizards, potion-gluttons, that pie cult). The Guild’s true purpose? To explore the intersection of elemental magic and flavor, to preserve ancient edible enchantments, and to elevate cuisine to the status of spellcraft.

Known Members

  • Bixby Wizzlethorpe Southaven’s Civic Mixologist – specializes in fizzy enchantments and magical cocktails with unpredictable effects. Was kicked out of the Marble Academy when studying to be a wizard.
  • Céline Aravel _Owner of The Velvet Crust, Balandel – famed for her quiet rigor and devastatingly precise elven pastries. Will not explain her methods. Will not smile. May give you a discount.
  • Master Bramblewisk (status: unknown)
Rumored to have invented sentient bread. May have been devoured by it.

Joining The Guild

Membership is invitation-only, usually offered after a notable act of culinary audacity. Those who add magical effects to their food or drink without understanding the risks often earn a visit… or a warning.
