Background
Aramoth is the son of the Valdris family, one of the wealthiest merchant clans in Fadrín. His family paid handsomely for Master Thorin Aladar to take him as a student, expecting their investment to produce a powerful mage worthy of the family name. Despite this pressure, Aramoth has struggled to match the natural abilities of his fellow students—particularly Lirielle, whose effortless mastery of divination magic infuriates him.
He studies alongside Brandon Ashford and Katie Brynn, though he considers them beneath his notice. His resentment of Lirielle runs deep, and he has never forgiven her for being Master Thorin’s favorite despite her humble origins as a baker’s daughter.
